Austin - Jr. Jazz and Lego League

This year Austin played Jr Jazz for the first time. It was a fun time for 8 weeks. His team won all but 1 game.

And in the mist of moving he also was part of the Lego League competition that was held at the U in January. He joined the club at school and they did a competition at Murray hight just after the new year and then they were invited to go to the state level competion at the U.

Time for an update!

So it has been a few months since I posted. We had Christmas, Bought a New house and Robert just turned 40! Here are some picture of the house.

For those that need a little hug during this season. I am thankful for everyone in my life. My life is full and rich. The journey has not always been easy but I am a stronger person because of the trials and challenges that i have conquered. Happy Thanksgiving!

Sewing again!

I spent the day today sewing. Robert and my dad and his brother have been gone all day scouting out places to go hunting next month so I took the opportunity to sew. I had found this material about a year ago at Hobby Lobby and fell in love with so I bought the ribbon they had that matched it then a few months ago I went back and they still had the fabric so I bought a couple of yards to make the girls outfits. So today was the day that I started and Finshed them. I getting the hang of this sewing thing. I am still trying to keep things simple but Breanna's shirt has 2 button on the back of it.

Breanna get so excited whenever she see ELMO so we went with a Elmo Themed Party. A friend from work made the cake. Breanna was so excited with it.

I took Breanna to her 2 year appt and she weighed in at 22 lbs and is 33". She is following her curve since birth and is just the runt of the family but perfectly healthy.

The kids started School August 22. Austin is now in 7th grade and the twins are in 2nd.

I'm addicted and can't stop

I swear Robert is going to hurt me if I don't stop buying material for the girls everytime I go to Joann's or Walmart. I still have material for 6 or 7 more outfits.

Top for Breanna

Megan's Dress

Lately I have been sewing. I am taking a quilting class and now I am starting to sew dresses and tops for the girls. I have found that it is relaxing even though I struggle on a few things here and there. I have sewed 2 other items. A dress for Breanna similar to Megan's and then an short outfit for Megan. I will post pictures later. Breanna's top was the first time I had sewed in a zipper it was a challenge at first but after watching a few You tube videos on sewing in a zipper i decided to tackle and not let the fear prevent me from finishing what I started. For only taking a class in Jr. High on sewing I have to say that I am pretty impressed with myself.  I remember all the dresses and clothes that my mom made for Christie & I and I am amazed at how easy she made it look. In fact since my Mom saved so much I still have a few of those dresses so at some the girls will have something that their grandmother made.
